Joe Beddia opened Pizzeria Beddia in 2013 as a tiny, no-reservations pizza joint, producing just 40 pies a night. It gained an almost cult-like following after being named “Best Pizza in America” by Bon Appetit in 2015.
In 2019, Beddia partnered with Defined Hospitality to open a larger location in Fishtown, offering a modern, industrial-chic space with minimalist Scandinavian and Japanese-inspired interiors. Pizzeria Beddia 2.0 soars way beyond just pizza while still prioritizing top-quality ingredients. The new menu features natural-leaning wines, soft serve, small plates, and a full bar. In the back, an omakase-inspired "hoagie room" offers private dinners by reservation only. Pizzeria Beddia’s legendary crispy crust and inventive toppings continue to earn global acclaim, keeping it ranked among the best pizzerias in the world.
